In the previous post I mentioned my decision to return to Canada. What I didn't mention was one of the major reasons that helped influence my decision. I had previously applied to a Master's program at the Univeristy of Toronto, but as of Friday I still hadn't heard if I was accepted or not. Saturday morning I went to pick up my mail, when I received it I simply shoved it into my bag and went back home. When I arrived at my house I noticed that I had received a fairly large envelope from UofT! I figured the size of the envelope was a good sign but quickly ripped it open anyways. Sure enough, I was ACCEPTED!!! I must admit I'm pretty excited! While I was waiting for their response, I kept trying really hard not to get my hopes up but one day I caved and went on-line to check out the courses offered, just reading the course descriptions got me all excited (I'm such a geek like that I know!!)
Starting in September I will be a part-time student in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Program, specializing in Comparative, International and Development Education. I'll still be working full time teaching so I will plenty busy, but I'm looking forward to it.
